This one-day programme is an ideal introduction to leadership. As a new social entrepreneur, your leadership will be critical to the initial success of your organisation.

This programme will give you the space to work with peers at similar stages of development to share challenges and develop confidence in your understanding of leadership styles, as you undertake to start your social enterprise journey.


This programme will support you to: 

  • Strengthen your understanding of different leadership styles
  • Share your leadership challenges and experiences with others
  • Reflect on your own strengths as a leader and areas of development
  • Commit to an action plan for your development

This session is aimed at social entrepreneurs involved with UnLtd Delhi who would like to reflect upon and develop their skills as an effective, progressive, and self-aware leader, as well as the skills of their team.


Your facilitator


Jay is a social entrepreneur who has over 28 years of experience in educational settings, initially working as an outdoor activity instructor, then Environmental Educator, Community Educator, Social Enterprise Advisor and Associate Tutor with the Academy.




The Social Enterprise Academy was established in 2004 to further the emerging concept of social enterprise through training and personal development.
It operates a network of Hubs and local Tutors in multiple countries including Australia, South Africa and Malaysia.


UnLtd Delhi is an incubator for social entrepreneurs. They search for, select and support exceptional individuals who are committed to solve some of India’s biggest challenges using their passion and entrepreneurial skills. They support them to develop as leaders, accelerate their impact, and prepare to scale.

1. Ensure the set up and delivery of our learning programmes are fully inclusive and accessible, stress testing them through an anti-racism and discrimination lens

2. Ensure the content, theories and models used in our programmes reflect a wider range of culturally diverse global thinkers. 

3. Actively support the feature equity diversity and inclusion as a topic on our leadership programmes, supporting our facilitators to deliver this.

4. Ensure our recruitment and facilitator selection processes operate in a way that attracts and provides opportunities for more people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

5. Robustly monitor the demographics of our learners to ensure we are attracting learners that are more culturally representative of the communities we serve.

6. Provide ongoing support for staff and facilitators during our EDI journey, in particular to those who might come from diverse backgrounds. 

7. Support all facilitators, staff and board members with their ongoing learning and development around equity, diversity and inclusion. 

8. Engage with and learn from individuals and organisations locally and globally tackling systemic racism and injustice.

9. Share learning from the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion working group internally and with other organisations.
