Charles Nyakurwa, is the founder of a social hybrid enterprise Deaf Hands At Work (DHW) based in Masiphumelele Western Cape.
DHW work with unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HOH) individuals to generate employment opportunities, entrepreneurship and disability consciousness.
Charles is currently working on promoting entrepreneurship diversity within the Deaf and HOH community and other denominations of disabilities. He has won a Bertha Scholarship to study post graduate degree in Business Administration at UCT- Graduate School of Business where he is currently researching how families with children with disabilities can encourage entrepreneurship and personal development.
He has launched a number of initiatives, creating fascinating stories and innovative ways of tackling poverty and inequality within the Deaf community.
