I am a leading coach working in the social enterprise sector. Following a successful business career, I have been privileged to work with many great people involved in every aspect of enterprise in Scotland.
Throughout my career, I have adopted a twin-track approach, applying lessons from my involvement in the commercial sector to lifelong commitment to the voluntary sector, and vice versa. Since 1985, I have coached a worked with senior management in the US and the UK and his clients have ranged across all business sectors, including start-up, growth businesses and the voluntary sector.
I am a Fellow of Columba 1400 International Leadership Centre, Founder Chair of Firstport, and a Founder Trustee of Scotland UnLtd.
On the business front, my early career was with BP Oil, based initially in Scotland. Thereafter, following a period in London in senior marketing roles, I returned to Scotland as Regional Manager.
Following my entrepreneurial instincts, I emigrated to the US and formed a management training and consultancy firm. From a one-man start-up, over a period of thirteen years, I built a national organisation working with more than 100 leading companies. In 1996, I sold the company to my senior partners and returned to Scotland.
