Non-Executive Director,  Start-up Investor

I am a Director of several technology startups and an active investor in early-stage companies. I served for over ten years as a member of the Executive Team at Wood Mackenzie, where I led large teams, acquisitions and change programmes.

Working across the private sector and 3rd sector, my observation is that many private sector companies lack a strong social purpose while many third sector organisations lack commercial capability, so at the intersection, there are great opportunities for open-minded people and organisations to learn from each other. I believe the growth of the social enterprise sector can play a key role in achieving a fairer society in which economic growth and welfare of citizens are not seen as incompatible goals.

I hold an MBA from the Open University and I am currently pursuing the Chartered Director qualification with the Institute of Directors.
