Regional Director, Asia
I started working with the Academy in May 2020. I support the strategic development of our international programmes and hubs through partnerships and funding.
Prior to joining the Academy, I spent 17 years in international cultural relations and international development. My previous role was to lead the British Council’s social development programmes in Asia supporting the development of social entrepreneurship ecosystems in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. I have collaborated with various stakeholders including UK Government, EU, national governments, the UN, private sector and civil society. I also worked for the international NGO, VSO, on a global youth and community development programme which was a precursor to the International Citizens Service funded by FCDO.
I love diverse cultures and experiencing these through travel, language, food, music and friendships. I have lived in Bangladesh, France, Russia, Oman and Hong Kong.
