Catalina Gonzalez

Australia

Originally from Colombia, Catalina is a natural audience engager and community connector, who envisions a happier, healthier, more inclusive and more connected society.

Catalina started performing as a dancer at the age of 8. Her entrepreneurship journey started at a very young age selling candy and brownies to her classmates at school and university. Her leadership skills started at 14 when she was the leader in her scouts' patrol and flourished in university as an events (party) planner. After graduating, she started her professional career in Marketing for Engineering companies. In 2009, she moved to Australia to shift her personal and professional endeavours towards engaging with people and communities through customer service, dance teaching, entertainment and volunteering.

Since 2014, she is the Co-founder and Director at Mosaik Experiences, a Social Enterprise that creates inclusive cultural experiences to inspire a sense of community and belonging among older adults and people with disabilities. Mosaik provides employment opportunities to CALD artists and professionals.

Catalina's vast experience teaching people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, plus her vivacious personality and creativity, contributes to her ability to create great rapport with groups.

Impact, particularly in diversity and inclusion, is at the core of all her projects and teams. She is passionate about learning, growth, collaboration and creating powerful connections.

Catalina is an active member in the social enterprise community in Melbourne and acts as a mentor for purposeful migrant artists, professionals and entrepreneurs.
